Most Exciting Souvenirs from London

It’s always nice to bring back souvenirs from places you’ve visited, be them in your home country or further afield. If you’re heading to London and thinking about what mementoes you can bring back from your trip, you’re spoilt for choice.

Forget about tacky fridge magnets and printed tea towels – there are lots of different gifts you can bring back to remind you of the special times you had whilst enjoying a holiday on one of the London hotels packages.

To help you avoid the tourist trap items and get something that’s really special, here’s our guide to the most exciting souvenirs in London.

Art Souvenirs

London is home to a lot of different art galleries and museums, all of which have gift shops where you can buy something exquisite to take home. For example, at The V&A, you’ll find a range of art prints, jewellery, and stationery emblazoned with limited edition artwork from current exhibitions at the time of your visit.

At the National Gallery, you’ll find a range of art prints, including mini art prints and large format posters. You can also find souvenirs unique to each artist, such as Leonardo da Vinci note cards, posters, and even socks! Bear in mind transporting prints back to your central London accommodation and on a train or plane – you want to make sure you have enough room in your case for anything large scale!

Royal Souvenirs

If you’re staying in one of the hotels near Lancaster Gate, you’re in a prime position to get some royal souvenirs as you tour the palaces. There are lots of delicate items to choose from if this is the route you’re going down, including brooches and bone china. It’s almost as if the souvenirs themselves are fit for royalty!

Children’s Souvenirs

If you have children or a loved child back home, you can always stop by Hamleys to get them an authentic toy from one of the world’s most famous toy shops. From plush soft toys to puzzles and trains, there’s a toy for every child on one of the seven floors. If you get tired of searching for the perfect gift, head to the fifth floor for an ice cream break at the in-store parlour.

Entertainment Souvenirs

London is famed for its entertainment, no matter the form. If you like music, head to a Soho record shop and pick up an authentic vinyl record to play on your record player when you get home. Alternatively, if you prefer the written word, head to the original Notting Hill Book Shop and buy a book to read on the way home.

Food Souvenirs

Food is always a great souvenir, so if you want to savour the tastes of the restaurants near Lancaster Gate, there are lots of small food gifts nearby. If not, you could get some authentic London distilled gin, handmade biscuits from Harrods, or tea from Fortnum & Mason.

Hopefully, this list has given you an insight into just some of the amazing things you can buy to remind you of your time in London.
